Installations

TiPiT v1.5 has some buttons in a toolbox and a toobar. So, for the installations for TiPiT v1.5, you don't only copy a file TiPiT to your plug-ins directory, but you need to register entries of the buttons to the registration files in the directory that they should be in. Then, you need to install ViewKit Library from IRIX materials, because TiPiT v1.5 uses it.
TiPiT v1.5 provides five components of a plug-in file "TiPiT", a registration file "tipit.toolbar", a text file "toolbar.txt", twelve image files for icons, and an on-line documents written in html and including image files (with GIF and JPG).
Below, showing the description of each installation of four components.

Plug-in File TiPiT Installation

Normally, you need to copy the file to a directory "/usr/aw/TVC5.5/bin/plug-ins", while Maya Composer 5.5 is installed to the directory "/usr/aw/TVC5.5". If only you must to use TiPiT, you need to copy a plug-in file "TiPiT" to your plug-ins directory "~/composer/5.5/plug-ins". If you have yet used Composer 5.0, you need to type a string "5.0" instead of each of the above string "5.5" in a name of the directories.

Toolbox Registration

You need to copy a registration file "TiPiT.toolbar" in a directory "/usr/aw/TVC5.5/dat/en_US". If you have yet used Composer 5.0, you need to type a string "5.0" instead of each of the above string "5.5" in a name of the directories.

Toobar Registration

You need to modify a registration file "/usr/aw/TVC5.5/dat/en_US/toolbar" by such a text editor tool as "vi" and so on. If you have yet used Composer 5.0, you need to type a string "5.0" instead of each of the above string "5.5" in a name of the directories.
You need to insert the below three lines to next of an entries of a tag window in a toolbar.

Icon Image Installration

TiPiT v1.5 needs twelve image files (a text file with format "XPM" used in X11 & Motif window manager) of icons drawing the buttons in a toolbox and a toolbar. You need to copy the 12 files in the below table to a directory "/usr/aw/TVC5.5/dat/icons". If you have yet used Composer 5.0, you need to type a string "5.0" instead of each of the above string "5.5" in a name of the directories.

TIPIT_PAN_CAMERA is an icon image file for a button "Pan Camera" in a toolbox.

TIPIT_TRACK_CAMERA is an icon image file for a button "Track Camera" in a toolbox.

TIPIT_DOLLY_CAMERA The icon image file for a button "Dolly Camera" in a toolbox.

TIPIT_ZOOM_CAMERA is an icon image file for a button "Zoom Camera" in a toolbox.

TIPIT_IMPORT_TIP is an icon image file for a button "Import TIP" in a toolbar.

TIPIT_EXPORT_TIP is an icon image file for a button "Export TIP" in a toolbar.

On-Line Document Installration

you need to cpoy on-line documents (with written in US-English) in a directory "/usr/aw/conductors/composer/tipit1.5/docs/en_US/html". A netscape will open a file "/usr/aw/conductors/composer/tipit1.5/docs/en_US/html/index.html" with pushing a help button in a event editor of TiPiT v1.5.
If you use the on-line documents in Japanese environment, you need to link a directory "/usr/aw/conductors/composer/tipit1.5/docs/en_JP/html" to the above directory, also.
If you use the documents in other language environment, you need to set a path for the documents to a shell environment variable "COMPOSER_HELP_URL_TIPIT_V1_5". For example, you may insert the below line in your command file ".cshrc" and so on.
